BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki Monster Energy Sponsor Cup Series-Round 13
For all the video highlights from the race go HERE. The BTOSports.com / BBMX / Palmetto Suzuki team was fired up and ready to get back up on the box for round 13 of the Monster Energy Sponsor Cup Series after a not so great performance at round 12. Timed qualifying would go smooth as BTOSports.com team rider Kyle Keylon would post the fastest qualifying time and hold the pole for gate pick going into moto 1.
Both team riders Keylon and Thomas would have near falls in the quick right handed first turn, seeing them both come out with poor starts. Keylon would begin to make his move quickly, passing up to the 5th but then going down hard at the end of lap 1. A severe handlebar to the gut would cause Kyle to get up and going slowly, but eventually finishing the moto off in 12th place. Thomas on the other hand was the man on the move in this moto, coming from dead last on lap 1 to grab 4th place. JT$ posted the fastest lap times of the moto by over 1 full second from lap 5 - 10, but unfortunately ran out of time just as he got on the rear tires of the leaders.
Moto number 2 would be a different story, as Keylon got off to a top 5 start and worked his way up to battle for the lead in the final laps with series points leader Michael Picone. Picone would end up getting a bit aggressive in the moto, and though he took the win by a 1 bike length margin - he would eventually be docked 2 positions for overly aggressive riding, handing the moto win to BOTSports.com rider Kyle Keylon and an overall score of 12-1 on the night. Thomas's moto would not fair so well, as an early on crash in the moto would leave him with a bike that wouldn't start until he was a lap down - leaving JT no time to make anything happen. JT would end up going home with 4-15 moto scores. btosports.com and butlerbrothersmx.com There's no way that BTO Sports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki team can go racing without the help of their sponsors and would like to thank the following companies: BTOSports.com, BBMX, Palmetto Suzuki, FLY Racing, Bel-Ray, Vortex, Pro-Circuit, WMI, Vanquish MX, Smith, FLU Graphics, Jett Boot, Wiseco, Leatt Brace, McGraw Insurance, Umbrella Girls, Dream Traxx, ASMF, ASV, Ti-Fuel, Factory Connection, Applied, Hinson, ICW, Twin Air, RK / Excel, QTM, Faction MX, Pit Posse, Outlaw, Dunlop, FLmx, MX Press, Polisport, Engine Ice, Galfer, Hookit.com, STMX, Kinetic Animation, Safety Kleen, Axcel

Monster Energy Dade City Sponsor Cup Series-Round 11 Race Report
Round 11 of the Monster Energy Sponsor Cup Series would see the rainiest round of the series yet. BBMX riders Kyle Keylon and Jason Thomas would have so-so days in the rain and mud, with Keylon coming out as the better of the two on the soggy day.
As moto 1 got under way, Thomas would find himself in a first turn pile up, while Keylon rounded turn number 2 in 6th place. Keylon would soldier his goggleless self through the water filled track up to 2nd by moto's end, while Thomas's moto would not fare near as well. After charging up to 5h position with just a few laps to go, JT's motor would become victim to the muddy waters and retire him 2 laps from the finish.
Moto 2 would not start off much better for Thomas, as he again got tangled up in turn 1. This time the fresh new motor installed by his mate Dan Truman, would help Thomas climb back up through the pack for a 3rd place finish. Keylon would come out in the top 3 off the start, and seemed like he was on his way to another moto win in the series. However, a collision with the 2nd place rider would put both riders on the ground and leave Keylon with a broken radiator - ending his shot at the moto win. Keylon would remount and hold on for 2nd place, leaving him with 2-2 moto scores and a 2nd overall on the night.
"It was a rough day and night, the weather was the worst it's been all season, even with all the rainy SX's we had this year. The guys rode hard, JT had some tough luck with the motor in moto 1, but he put it back up on the box in moto 2. Kyle was solid with his 2-2's and with the points chase now in effect, he has moved into 2nd place in the points chase for the championship. For the rain, mud and weather - we got some points, and are ready for the next round on July 17th", says team mechanic Dan Truman.

BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki-Monster Energy Sponsor Cup Series/ Round 10 BTOSports.com / BBMX / Palmetto Suzuki team rider Kyle Keylon put a new definition to the word domination as he put together solid 1-1 moto scores to take his first overall win of the Sponsor Cup Series. Kyle has laid down the fastest lap times for the past few rounds in practice, only to be outdone by his teammate Jason Thomas on one occasion, however has not been able to put the moto results together that he is capable of. But this past Saturday was Kyle's day as he laid down the fastest practice qualifying time and two moto wins in smooth fashion. Moto 1 would see Keylon taking the holeshot and put in a flawless ride from start to finish, never looking back until after he got the checkers. Teammate Jason Thomas would go into the first corner side by side with Keylon, only to bobble a bit on the outside and come out in 5th position. Thomas was on fire as well and started moving up quickly, only to go down while trying to make a pass on the outside of Mike Picone. Thomas would remount in 7th and work his way back up to 5th by the finish. Moto 2 would see team BTOSports.com / BBMX / Palmetto Suzuki riders Thomas and Keylon 1 & 2 as they rounded the first corner. Thomas would hold onto the lead for just about 2 laps, until Keylon would make a pass around his teammate to take the lead. Keylon would again put on a flawless ride to the finish, as Thomas would ride just as smooth and finish with a comfortable 2nd. After the 4th round of the Monster Energy Sponsor Cup Series, team BTOSports.com riders look to be getting a solid hold on the field. "Each week, both our riders seem to be getting more and more confident, and we definitely feel that we have the best bikes on the track thanks to all our sponsors. Our WMI motors are pulling just about every holeshot now and our Factory Connection suspension is hands down allowing Kyle and JT to push their bikes more than the other riders. There are still 11 rounds to go though and our plan is to keep taking it just one race at a time" says team owner Forrest Butler. btosports.com and butlerbrothersmx.com

BTOSports.com / BBMX / Palmetto Suzuki Gets First Win of Monster Energy Sponsor Cup Series
BTOSports.com / BBMX / Palmetto Suzuki rider Jason Thomas came away with his first win of the Monster Energy Sponsor Cup Series this past weekend in Dade City, FL. This was the third round of the series for the BBMX team, and both team riders Jason Thomas and Kyle Keylon were more than dominant on the day. Keylon would take top timed qualifying honors with JT holding down the 2nd spot, giving the rider the top 2 gate picks going to the line. Thomas would nail down the holeshot in moto one with Keylon rounding lap one in 5th place. Keylon would make quick work on the field in the first 2 laps and found himself on JT's rear fender by the end of lap three and then the race was on. Both BTOSports.com / BBMX / Palmetto Suzuki teammates would put on a back and forth battle until two laps to go when JT made two costly mistakes that would allow Keylon to rocket by into the lead. JT pushed hard, but Keylon held on for his first moto win of the series. Thomas would follow him accross the line for a 2nd place in moto one.

Moto 2 would see Thomas nailing down another amazing holeshot, but this time he would dominate the race from start to finish. Thomas took the moto win and the overall win with 2-1 moto scores on the night. Keylon would again find himself mid pack after the first turn, but started to once again make quick work of the riders in front of him. Only this time his charge would be cut short when a smashed exhaust would end his moto prematurely resulting in a DNF. Keylon would end up 10th overall on the night with 1-25 moto scores. "I was very happy with the way both the guys rode tonight" says team owner Forrest Butler. "We are new to this series this year and the riders here flat out haul the mail and it is a different style racing than both Kyle & JT are used to. But we had a goal set to hopefully win by 4 races in and after two 2nd place finishes in a row, we grabbed our first win at our 3rd race. We’re happy and I think both the guys are getting a lot faster each weekend and we hope to continue on and win series championship for all our team sponsors.” btosports.com and butlerbrothersmx.com There's no way that BTO Sports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki team can go racing without the help of their sponsors and would like to thank the following companies:

BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki Dade City Cup Race Report

This past weekend the BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki race team showed up to race round eight of the Dade City Cup series which are held in Florida at Dade City Raceway. Team riders Jason Thomas and Kyle Keylon were on hand to do battle with the regulars at the popular long running track.
Thomas set the fastest time in qualifying by over one second and was on it all day. Right before the motos, the skies opened up and it kept raining and raining and raining…and then it rained some more. With the track looking more like a jet-ski race, Thomas needed a great start and that’s exactly what he got as he charged into the first corner.
Unfortunately he went down and was forced to work his way up from the back. He made it to second and that was a good ride considering the conditions. After the previous races DNF-DNF score, he’ll take it.
Keylon had similar luck in that he qualified third but had trouble in the first turn and came out outside of the top ten. Kyle had a few more crashes along the way and got stuck at one point. By the time the checkers flew, Keylon had climbed all the way to seventh place.
The Dade City track crew did an excellent job salvaging the track after the hard rains to make the track capable of being raced on. Most tracks would have had to pull the plug on the race night, but the Monster Energy Sponsor Cup is the real deal & the crew at Dade City provided just that.
Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Chad Reed also made an appearance for his good buddy Jason Thomas. And Chad, in true motocross fashion, didn't let the weather keep him from showing up. He was soon off in the pouring rain and down on the starting line to help JT pick the perfect gate for the start of the main. It was cool to see Reed showing his support for FL motocross on his off weekend from the Lucas Oils AMA Nationals, both BBMX & Dade City Mx thank him for coming out. btosports.com and butlerbrothersmx.com There's no way that BTO Sports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki team can go racing without the help of their sponsors and would like to thank the following companies: BTOSports.com, BBMX, Palmetto Suzuki, FLY Racing, Bel-Ray, Vortex, Pro-Circuit, WMI, Vanquish MX, Smith, FLU Graphics, Jett Boot, Wiseco, Leatt Brace, McGraw Insurance, Umbrella Girls, Dream Traxx, ASMF, ASV, Ti-Fuel, Factory Connection, Applied, Hinson, ICW, Twin Air, RK / Excel, QTM, Faction MX, Pit Posse, Outlaw, Dunlop, FLmx, MX Press, Polisport, Engine Ice, Galfer, Hookit.com, STMX, Kinetic Animation, Safety Kleen, Axcel

BBMX kicks off first round of the Monster Energy Sponsor Cup Series - Dade City, FL While most of the top US teams are 100% focused and ready to do battle in the Lucas Oil's Pro Motocross Nationals this upcoming weekend in Sacramento, CA - the BTOSports.com / Palmetto Suzuki / BBMX race team already notched their first summer motocross series race this past weekend on May 15th. New on the 2010 BBMX race team schedule this year is the addition of the Monster Energy Sponsor Cup Series, held in Dade City, FL. The Monster Energy Sponsor Cup Series is the fastest growing series in BBMX's home state of FL, and is definitely a first of its kind for FL racing. The Sponsor Cup Series is in its 5th year of racing and has become a hot spot for FL racing from the early Spring to the late Fall. With 15 rounds in the points chase, a high pro purse and a hefty top 3 series championship bonus on the line - it is a must for all of FL's top pro riders to attend. And though the BBMX team will sit out the 2010 Lucas Oil Motocross Nationals, the team hopes to be able to give back to all their loyal FL fans who have supported them over the years. "We are going to miss the nationals this year for sure, but with all honesty it is a tough economy out there right now and we needed to work on our sales program back in FL for this year and the Monster Energy Sponsor Cup Series was just the perfect fit for us. The nationals are definitely not out of our future, we will be back for sure. What MX Sports is doing over there is just awesome and as time goes on, what they are doing will allow teams like ours to only grow stronger and win races", says Forrest Butler. "Our focus right now though is on the Sponsor Cup championship and winning races. The facility at Dade City, the Sponsor Cup team layout, teams involved - it is very impressive. They have a 4000sq/ft building with an entire air conditioned VIP viewing area, it is very impressive. We are also set up and selling live for BTOSports.com out of our product display booth, it really is a good deal for all our team sponsors and our FL regional fans" adds Forrest. As for the racing, the format is done similar to the nationals - all bikes are equipped with transponders and timed qualifying is used for gate pick. Team rider Kyle Keylon would grab the fastest qualifying time, with teammate Jason Thomas qualifying 6th. The first moto would find Thomas with a near holeshot on the ground and starting from dead last, Thomas's fortune would end right away with a broken shifter causing him to pull out. Keylon however made his way to the front quickly and took the lead by the half way mark. Unfortunately for Keylon, a broken front wheel would cause him to go down with just 2 laps to go and settle for 2nd place. In the 2nd moto, Thomas would again have first turn problems and then a crash a lap 4 left him with a bike that wouldn't start, finding him a lap down. Keylon started 2nd this time and was quickly looking for the lead, he made several attempts but just couldn't get by the race leader, eventually finishing in 2nd by just a few short bike lengths. Kyle would end up 2nd overall on the night and up on the podium. The next round will be on May 29th and both Thomas and Keylon will be a bit more prepared as this last weekend saw them both coming directly off the Las Vegas SX finale. BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki Salt Lake City SX Race Report Salt Lake City, UT- With the conditions outside being more like the North Pole than a normal supercross, the BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki Supercross team that is based out of Florida was just a tad bit out of its element this past weekend.
 Jason Thomas. Photo: Justin Dawes
As usual, our privateer hero Jason Thomas dominated the 450 LCQ to secure his spot in the 450 main event. By our count, this makes it about 392 LCQ wins on the season for Thomas and we wish he’d make it easier on us by making it though the heat but that seems to be his lot in life. In the main JT fought through the muck, rain and snow to finish a solid sixteenth. A mid-race stop for goggles definitely didn’t help things.
Troy Adams made the jump up to the 450 class last weekend and was doing pretty well until he decided to clear the triple without his bike. The resulting crash left him bruised and battered but he was out there again this weekend on a big bike. Troy Adams during 450 heat #2. Photo: Justin Dawes
Troy had a steadier main event than Thomas and would place in twelfth on the night. Adams is going to forgo the 250 East/West Shootout this weekend to stay in the 450 class and hopefully, unlike last year, his pants stay on.
Bobby Kiniy, Salt Lake City. Photo: Justin Dawes
Bobby Kiniry is our New York rider and we thought he’d be right at home in the conditions but Kiniry had to make it through the LCQ (like his hero Thomas) and therefore was assured a crappy start. He worked through the pack as best he could and when the flag flew, he was thirteenth and he ended the west series in fourteenth. btosports.com and butlerbrothersmx.com There's no way that BTO Sports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki team can go racing without the help of their sponsors and would like to thank the following companies: BTOSports.com, BBMX, Palmetto Suzuki, FLY Racing, Bel-Ray, Vortex, Pro-Circuit, WMI, Vanquish MX, Smith, FLU Graphics, Jett Boot, Wiseco, Leatt Brace, McGraw Insurance, Umbrella Girls, Dream Traxx, ASMF, ASV, Ti-Fuel, Factory Connection, Applied, Hinson, ICW, Twin Air, RK / Excel, QTM, Faction MX, Pit Posse, Outlaw, Dunlop, FLmx, MX Press, Polisport, Engine Ice, Galfer, Hookit.com, STMX, Kinetic Animation, Safety Kleen, Axcel

BBMX Race Day Blog: Salt Lake City SX
 Snow-cross in SLC? Photo: Guyb/Vitalmx.com
As the teams leave the Pacific Northwest, the Monster Energy/AMA Supercross series travels down to Salt Lake City for rd. 16, the second to last round of this 2010 Supercross series. No doubt this year's west coast rounds have had their share of weather and Salt Lake is looking like it will continue that streak. The teams were welcomed this week to Salt Lake with snowfall! Yes...snow blanketed the Rice-Eccles stadium and the SX track. Knowing the weather here in SLC, the Dirt Wurx crew built the track in 16 hrs, and finished right before the snow came. They had enough time to cover the track and keep it safe from the snow and rain. Troy Adams is prepared for SLC.
The BTOsports/Palmetto Suzuki/BBMX team is ready to take on any weather here in Salt Lake. Team riders Jason Thomas, Troy Adams and Bobby Kiniry are all expecting solid rides here in the SLC. JT is looking to bounce back this weekend. Not making the main in Seattle after being swallowed up by the ruts in Seattle, JT is ready to get his #62 bike back into the main event in SLC. Troy Adams will be joining JT in the 450 class for the last time this year before going back to the Lites bike for the East/West shootout in Vegas next weekend. Adams had a good ride going last weekend in the main until an unplanned ejection off one of the triples. He would get up and finish 16th, though just finishing the main was an accomplishment. Adams is ready for SLC, no matter what weather may come. Bobby Kiniry knows how to ride in the mud.
In the Lites class, Bobby Kiniry is looking to finish the West Lites championship here in SLC this weekend on a high note. Struggling in Seattle, Kiniry wants to better his performance from last week and get prepared for the East/West shootout next weekend in Vegas. Kiniry will be on the gas, and if it becomes a mud race, look for him to push into the top ten as he is a skilled mud rider. With the 450 championship already decided as Ryan Dungey was crowned the 2010 SX champ, the battle in the 450s is for second place. With Ryan Villopoto out, Kevin Windham and Josh Hill are gunning for that second in points. K-Dubs win last week in Seattle has sparked the fire in him and he is on a charge, while injury riddled J-Hill is just trying to hang on to his points spot. In the Lites class, with Trey Canard having an off night in Seattle, the championship comes down the Salt Lake between Will Hahn and Jake Weimer. We will see if these two can getup front and battle it out to the last lap. While snow isn't in the forecast this weekend, rain is. There is a 30% chance of rain on Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised if snow does come down, with the Rice-Eccles stadium being up in the higher elevations overlooking the city. If snow does decide to show up, it could be one crazy race.
BBMX played host to our V.I.P.s in Seattle. Ben and Tim Parker along with their wives had a great time hanging out with the BBMX team in Seattle, seeing what it's like to be a part of the team for the day. You too can become a BBMX VIP for the day at Las Vegas. For more information on the BBMX V.I.P. experience, click here.

5pm -
After the practice session, all three BBMX team riders are firmly in the field. In the Lites class, Bobby Kiniry put in a lap time fo 54.72 sec. for 12th. Bobby is feeling good on the SLC track and is ready for tonight's race. In the 450s, Troy Adams qualified 7th with a 50.45 sec. lap time. Jason Thomas is in the 15th qualifying spot with a 52.65 sec. lap time. No doubt the BBMX team riders are here to race and are ready for the night's racing.
11pm - Bobby Kiniry finished 13th in the LItes main. Photo: Justin DawesWith the rain coming down, Bobby Kiniry would attack the track in the Lites heat two. He would run up as high as 6th but the ever changing conditions moved Kiniry back to the 8th spot. He would transfer to the main event and not have to endure the LCQ. In the Lites main, Kiniry would get a good start and ride hard throughout the difficult main event. With snow and rain coming down, Kiniry kept it together and finished a solid 13th on the night. “The conditions were really bad out there, and I had a hard time feeling my fingers” Kiniry said after the main of the conditions. Kiniry finished the West Lites championship 14th in points and gets a spot in the East/West shootout for Vegas next weekend. Troy Adams finished 12th in the 450 main. Photo: Justin Dawes
The BBMX riders of Troy Adams and Jason Thomas both lined up for the 450 heat two knowing that the track was going to be tough. Both Adams and JT would get a good jump as the gates dropped. Adams would start making moves early and for the first couple laps he was riding well, in the 5th spot. Adams would endo in the whoops with a lap to go, but would get back up to finish 7th and a transfer to the main. JT would not be so lucky as he would finish outside of a transfer spot and would go to the LCQ, where he would take the win. Troy Adams covered in mud during the 450 main event. Photo: Justin Dawes
In the 450 main, with the snow coming down harder than it had all night, both Adams and JT would brave the weather and the track to ride solid. Adams moved his way through the mid pack start and would finish a solid 12th. JT would struggle in the mud and would only be able to muster a 16th place finish. Both are looking forward to the dry track of Vegas next weekend after two sloppy tracks in a row. Jason Thomas won the LCQ, but could only manage a 16th in the 450 main. Photo: Justin Dawes
The teams leave the snow filled Salt Lake City for warmer weather in Las Vegas for the final stop in this 17 race series. It's hard to believe that we are at the last race already, as it seems like just last week we were all at Anaheim 1 for the opening round. It has been a great season, and with the Lites East/West shootout ready to explode in Vegas and Kevin Windham looking to finish the season with another 450 main event win, it's going to be an exciting race.
Be sure to log onto www.butlerbrothersmx.com next weekend from Vegas for all the action on and off the track. Until then, keep it pinned and grab the holeshot!

 Troy Adams
BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki Seattle SX Race Report Seattle, WA- The BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki supercross team rolled into Seattle for round fifteen of seventeen with a new addition to the 450 class. Troy Adams was put on a 450 to see what he could do and he easily made the 20-man main event. The track was as soft as mom’s chocolate chip cookies coming out of the oven and the ruts were deep enough to swallow our own Jason Thomas so when Adams didn’t get a great start, his work was cut out for him. He worked his way up to 9th within the first 10 laps, but then a fall on the "swamp like" track had him looking to settle in for a 14th place finish. However on the final lap, the deep ruts caught Adams foot pegs on the face of the big triple and sent him sailing through the air with no bike. Adams hit the ground hard, but thankfully had no major injuries. Adams finished in 16th. JT$ had some bad luck in his heat race but going to the LCQ was nothing to be worried about as he has proved to be the master of these. Unfortunately just as he was in third and looking to make a move up, he tipped over in a turn and that was all she wrote folks. JT’s missed main event was his first miss of the season. Bobby Kiniry.
Our 250 west rider Bobby Kiniry rode hard all night and despite not getting a great start, he almost finished inside the top ten. The New Yorker will look to try and avenge his night this weekend in Salt Lake City. btosports.com and butlerbrothersmx.com There's no way that BTO Sports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki team can go racing without the help of their sponsors and would like to thank the following companies: BTOSports.com, BBMX, Palmetto Suzuki, FLY Racing, Bel-Ray, Vortex, Pro-Circuit, WMI, Vanquish MX, Smith, FLU Graphics, Jett Boot, Wiseco, Leatt Brace, McGraw Insurance, Umbrella Girls, Dream Traxx, ASMF, ASV, Ti-Fuel, Factory Connection, Applied, Hinson, ICW, Twin Air, RK / Excel, QTM, Faction MX, Pit Posse, Outlaw, Dunlop, FLmx, MX Press, Polisport, Engine Ice, Galfer, Hookit.com, STMX, Kinetic Animation, Safety Kleen, Axcel
